Mirror Work isn’t new - Louise L. Hay popularised this at least 20 years ago, and that’s when I first started using it. As the name implies, Mirror Work is done by looking directly into your eyes in a mirror while saying positive and empowering statements out loud.

Louise Hay taught Mirror Work as a simple technique anyone could use to increase self-worth and self-love. By doing this, you overcome negative self-talk, the inner critic, and limiting beliefs by simultaneously accessing both the conscious and subconscious mind.

After all, the eyes are said to be the windows to the soul - so you’re having a conversation with your true self, the one who always wants the best for you. Naturally, Mirror Work is a powerful tool to add to your manifesting toolbox.

My Testimonial: How Mirror Work Sold My Business

My greatest success with Mirror Work was the sale of my business years ago - and honestly, it felt miraculous.

Here’s the short version: my accountant told me flat out that my business had no value. On paper, he was right - it had no big assets, no contracts, nothing that would make it “sellable.” He even said I was crazy to think anyone would buy it for the six-figure sum I wanted.

But I didn’t listen. Almost every morning and evening, I stood in front of the mirror declaring: “I’ve sold my business for X amount. My business is sold. I am financially free.”

Within a few weeks, that’s exactly what happened. Not only did I sell the business for the exact amount I affirmed, but the buyer paid in full - in cash - instead of installments. My accountant was floored.

That sale gave me the freedom to take a 2-year sabbatical, including 11 months overlanding through Africa in a Land Rover. One of the best experiences of my life - and this all happened because of a few weeks of focused Mirror Work.

Why It Worked: The Being Source Perspective

Looking back, I can clearly see why this Mirror Work was so successful. At the time, without knowing it, I was embodying all 9 core Being Source principles that I now teach today.

Here’s how they applied:

1. Being Source – Manifestation flows not from what you do, but who you are being. I chose to be the one whose business was sold.

2. Awareness – I didn’t fuss over my accountant’s words. My awareness was locked onto the vision of the sale.

3. 3D Reality – 3D is just a mirror. Instead of believing the “facts” on paper, I lived in the reality I chose.

4. Time Is an Illusion – I wasn’t hoping it would sell. I declared it was already sold.

5. Transcend Separation – There was no “buyer out there.” In consciousness, the sale was already done.

6. Power of Words – I spoke it into existence, telling friends I was selling my business to travel.

7. I Am Source – “I Am” statements carry creative power. I said: “I am financially free. I am travelling Africa.”

8. Creation Is a Choice – I decided it was done. That decision was final.

9. Perception Creates Reality – My perception was unwavering: the sale was already complete.

Being Source is the crux of manifestation. Most people focus on doing - affirmations, scripting, visualising - but manifestation happens because of who and what you are being.

Second Way To Turbo-Charge Mirror Work

So that’s the first way to turbocharge Mirror Work. But there’s a second secret hack hardly anyone talks about - and when you combine it with Mirror Work, results multiply. That secret is EFT Tapping.

I became an EFT practitioner in 2007, and it’s been a game changer for me and my clients across the world. Tapping calms and regulates the nervous system, dissolves resistance, and helps rewire limiting beliefs.

When you combine EFT with Mirror Work - it’s like slicing through resistance with a hot knife through butter.

There are two simple ways to do this:

• Tap your collarbone while looking into the mirror and saying your affirmations.

• Or do the full tapping sequence while looking into your eyes and speaking your affirmations.
